As a creative exercise in discovering and designing my Image of Wide Scope, I have utilized this blog site in an unconventional manner, at least as far as blogs go. What you will find here is not a series of running commentary, but rather a Mystory. Let me explain:
According to UF Professor, Gregory Ulmer, to make a mystory we must “notice and record the identifications organizing our experience.” He teaches that there are images that pervade the memories of our childhood experience, both real and artificial. If we take the time to look closely at them, to record them using both text and image, we can discover our image of wide scope — or that which forms the tool chest of our imagination.
Welcome to my tool chest.
